New York Wraps Up $28M In Road Projects

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Construction crews in New York state have recently wrapped up work on five upstate highway and bridge projects that represent an investment of more than $28 million.

Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office announced the completion of the projects on Thursday.

The work included nearly $16 million to reconstruct state routes 3 and 30 in Franklin County. Another $12 million went to pay for four bridge projects.

In St. Lawrence County a bridge over the Oswegatchie River was rebuilt. In Columbia County a bridge on State Route 66 was rehabilitated, and in Steuben County two bridges on State Route 415 were either replaced or repaired.

State officials say the work is part of an overall $21 billion investment in the state's roads and bridges.
