Albany, NY (WIBX) - "No new taxes, no fees, no gimmicks," and no deficit.  That's according to Governor Andrew Cuomo who says that they have reached a budget agreement in advance of the April 1, 2012 deadline.

The Governor met with Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.  According to a statement released by the Governor's Office, this year's budget includes a cut of about $135 million in spending from last year, bringing the total budget cost to $132.6 billion.

Key to the budget reductions, the Governor says, is eliminating "duplication, redundancy, and waste," and making the state's financials flexible.

State leaders expect to adopt the budget by the end of the week.
