Nurse’s Aid Arrested For Allegedly Neglecting Patient

A Utica Woman was arrested after a patient at Heritage Health care was allegedly injured while in her care.

According to State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Aaliya Weathers, 19, was assigned to care for a 95 year old patient that required two people to lift.

Weathers tried to lift the resident alone resulting in two fractures to the resident's leg.

Weathers was charged with willful violation of health laws and endangering the welfare of an elderly person.

She entered a mandatory plea of not guilty and was released.
