ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A western New York man whose girlfriend fatally overdosed in a bathtub on the heroin he provided on Christmas Eve has been convicted of driving around with her body and taking the couple's toddler along for the ride.

Monroe County prosecutors say 37-year-old Domenic Mineccia, of the town of Greece, was convicted Thursday on drug, tampering with evidence and child endangerment charges.

On the afternoon of Dec. 24, 2014, Mineccia bought and prepared fentanyl for himself and Nicole Grana. He used some and left the rest for her while he ran an errand.

Authorities say when Mineccia returned he found her dead in the water-filled bathtub. Their 16-month-old child was also in the tub.

Mineccia put the child and Grana's body in his car, drove around for an unknown period, returned home and called 911.
