A Rome man is facing charges after being found unconscious in his vehicle on Route 49 in Marcy.

New York State Police say, an off-duty EMT was administering aid to 39-year-old Harry Rodriguez outside of his vehicle when Troopers responded to the scene.

Authorities claim, Rodriguez was unresponsive with a strong odor of alcohol coming from him.

First responders administered two doses of Naloxone in order for him regain consciousness and he was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for further treatment.

Rodriguez is facing a charge of common law DWI, two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and other charges.
