The Oneida County Board of Elections is looking to increase the number of registered voters in the county.

Right now, the number of eligible registered votes is at 68% compared to the statewide average of 78%.

County Executive Anthony Picente says the goal of Rock Oneida County to Vote is to get more people involved in the election process.

A ROC2VOTE registration drive will be taking place on Thursday from 10:00 to 2:00.

Members of the BOE and League of Women Voters Utica-Rome will be at several locations in Utica and Rome, including Utica and Rome City Hall and the County Office Building.

Registration forms will also be available at town and village clerk offices.
