Utica, NY (WIBX) - One Oneida County Legislator is not pleased with the condition of Utica's taxi cabs, and he wants the city to do something about it.
David Gordon is asking Utica to pass legislation mandating better standards for the city's taxi services, saying they currently create a negative image for the city and people are taking notice.

The legislator proposes that the city's cabs be uniform in color, clearly designated and have little to no visible damage. He also says ordinances regarding taxis have not been changed since 1948.

Gordon says Utica's taxi companies "need to take pride in the area they serve and at this point, legislation needs to speed up the process and enforce this message."
