The Orange were firing on all cylinders on Wednesday night, in a 25 point drubbing of Providence, 84-69, pulling back into a three way tie atop the Big East.

Syracuse, nationally ranked No. 8, used a 31-4 run at the end of the first half to take a 43-16 lead at the break.

James Southerland and C.J. Fair each scored 20, while Michael Carter Williams dropped 15 points and a dozen assists. Brandon Triche added 14. 'Cuse finished the game with a FG% of 56.6, as they grow the nation's longest Division 1 men's hoops home winning streak to 38 straight.

The Friars (14-12, 6-8 Big East) got 15 each from LaDontae Henton and Vincent Council. Henton also snatched 13 rebounds.

Syracuse (22-4, 10-3 Big East) is now tied with No.11 Georgetown and No. 17 Marquette for first in the Big East. They'll host the Hoyas on Saturday, before visiting the Golden Eagles on Monday.
