There's been a change in personnel at Utica City Hall.

Mayor Robert Palmieri has appointed Marques Phillips as his new Chief of Staff.

The 36-year old Phillips is a lifelong Utica resident and the son of late Utica Councilman Bill Phillips.  He most recently served as a legislative analyst for the Oneida County Board of Legislators.

“Marques is very knowledgeable on the issues and is ready for the challenge. I am confident he will be a great asset to the Administration" said Palmieri.

Phillips will take over for Charles "Sonny" Greco, who will become Executive Director at the Resource Center for Independent Living on May 6th.

Greco has been Palmeri's Chief of Staff since 2013.
