Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri and several members of the Utica Common Council were sworn-in today in a ceremony at City Hall on Thursday.

Palmieri says he's looking forward to another four years in office.

He says his top priorities for 2016 include bringing a hospital to downtown Utica and selling the Hotel Utica.

New Common Council President Michael Galime also took the oath of office, along with council members Jack LoMedico, Bill Phillips, John Jacon, David Testa and Maria Pezzolanella-McNeil.

Rome Mayor Jackie Izzo was also sworn-in today in a ceremony at Rome Catholic High School.

Izzo defeated incumbent Joe Fusco in the November election to become Rome's first woman mayor.
