Utica, NY (WIBX) - New York Secretary of State Cesar Perales is announcing today a grant opportunity for Counties in the Northern Border Region.

The 1.3 million dollars in grants are available for infrastructure, job training, public services, conservation, open space and green energy.

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo says, "These funds will be a great complement to the work we are doing with the Regional Economic Development Councils, and will serve as another tool to help stimulate development and job creation in New York's Northern Border Region."

Priority will be given to applications for projects in several Upstate New York counties, including Fulton, Jefferson, Lewis, and Oneida Counties, and projects in the Utica Rome Labor Market.
