The Regional Primary Care Network will increase mental health services at its Utica Community Health Center, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the United Health Foundation.

The funding will be used to integrate behavioral health and primary care services at the center.

Chief Operating Office Jeannine Carzo says integration means a patient in need of mental health services will be able to get care almost immediately.  Carzo says once the grant money goes away, the services will continue.

The Regional Primary Care Network provides primary medical and dental care at 23 locations across upstate New York.
