Oneida County has a new Aviation Commissioner.

County Executive Anthony Picente has named Russell Stark to the post.

Stark, who is retired from the Army, is a 1980 graduate of Holland Patent High School.

He served for 32 years and was most recently the Deputy Chief of Airspace Command and Control, Aviation Operations at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Stark will oversee operations at Griffiss International Airport in Rome.
