Picente Appoints Patrick Cady Probation Director

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente has appointed Patrick Cady Director of Probation.

Cady began his career with the County Probation Department in 1994 as an Adult Supervisor Officer.  He also spent time as a Juvenile Supervisor Officer and Supervisor before being named Deputy Director of the department in 2013.

Prior to his County employment, Cady worked as a PINS Diversion Counselor at Family Services of Greater Utica Inc. and as a Senior Child Care Worker at the House of the Good Shepherd.

“Pat Cady has been an integral part of our Probation Department for 24 years and has made many valuable contributions that have helped to change people’s lives and solidify the safety of this community,” Picente said. “I am confident his experience and leadership will make him an excellent director and that he will continue to serve the County admirably.”

Cady takes over for David Tomidy,who retired last week.
