Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente has been unanimously elected as the next President of the New York State Association of Counties.

The election was part of the group's Annual Fall Seminar and educational program being held in Erie County this week.

Over 600 delegates from across the state are gathering at the Buffalo Convention Center for the event, which wraps up tomorrow.

Picente says he's honored to have been chosen by his peers from across the state

He also says he's committed to working with all of them to collectively redesign and strengthen the role of local government in New York.
