Picente Speaks At Tier VI Signing

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente was among those who spoke applauding Governor Cuomo's Tier VI pension reform plan at a ceremonial signing in Albany earlier this afternoon.

Picente said the Governor's actions demonstrate his "dedication to the taxpayers of this state."

Picente has repeatedly noted that from 2001 to 2012 Oneida County's retirement system payment went up more than 548%.

The deal was reached through compromise between the Governor, the State Senate, and the Assembly.  Governor Cuomo estimates that his reform plan will save taxpayers more than $80 billion over the next thirty years.
