Picente To Seek Fourth Term As Oneida County Executive
Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente will be seeking another term in office.
Picente made the announcement this morning at the 72 Tavern and Grill at the Adirondack Bank Center.
Picente says he wants to build on the accomplishments of the past 12 years.
He says that includes the strongest financial structure in 20 years, four credit rating upgrades, 911 consolidation and the Oneida Indian Nation agreement.
"To me being county executive is knowing that you have given me the responsibility of leading this government with the expectation of leadership, integrity and progress. And each day I have strived to give my all and more to uphold that responsibility" said Picente.
County Comptroller Joe Timpano joined Picente and also announced he will be seeking re-election this year.
Former Oneida County legislator Dave Gordon announced last week that he'll be running for County Executive, setting up a Republican primary with Picente.
