Another new business is coming to downtown Utica.

Mayor Robert Palmieri says Price Rite Supermarkets plans to open a new grocery store at 501 Bleecker Street.

Palmieri says the total investment for the project is estimated to be several million dollars.  He say it will create about 85 full and part-time jobs.

The Mayor said “When speaking with current and prospective downtown/Bagg’s Square residents, there is a universal desire to have everyday amenities readily accessible.  The opening of a grocery store is a major step forward in our mission to make downtown a fully-fledged neighborhood.”

Price Rite expects to open by the spring of next year.
