Record Breaking 4th Of July Travel Expected
A record number of Americans will be traveling for the 4th of July holiday.
AAA is predicting that more than 44 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more from home.
Ed Welsh, Regional General Manager of AAA Northeast, says that's a new record and a nearly three-percent increase over last year. Welsh says increased consumer confidence and lower gas prices are fueling the increase in travel.
He says motorists will be paying four cents a gallon less than last year at this time.
