Residents Living Near Sauquoit Creek In Whitesboro Urged To Evacuate
The Oneida County Department of Emergency Services is urging residents in the Village of Whitesboro near the Sauquoit Creek to evacuate due to flooding.
That includes residents living on Gardner Street, Davis Ave, Ellis Ave, Ablett Ave, Ellmore Drive, Dunham Place, Wind Place and Sauquoit Street.
A shelter has been established at the Whitesboro Fire Station.
Any residents needing transportation assistance should call 911.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Southern Oneida County until 2:30 this afternoon.
A Flood Watch is in effect for the area through Saturday evening.
