SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A $10,000 reward is being offered for information in the unsolved murder of a Syracuse-area woman 20 years ago.

Onondaga County Sheriff Eugene Conway said at a news conference Wednesday that a reward was being offered by an anonymous donor for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the death of Carol Ryan.

Ryan was found naked and beaten on Sept. 1, 1996 along a country highway in Jamesville, southeast of Syracuse. She died after five hours of surgery.

Ryan was last seen alive leaving a bar on Syracuse's east side.
