Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Held At Utica College’s Pioneer Village

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday at Pioneer Village, Utica College's newest on-campus housing.

Pioneer Village is located behind Charles Gaetano Stadium and features three buildings with a total of 144 beds.

Each apartment unit includes four single bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen with dishwasher and a washer and dryer.

The $14 million project is a partnership between Utica College and the Utica Municipal Housing Authority and was built by Albany-based BBL Construction.

Several UC Construction Management graduates and students assumed leadership roles in the project.
