Rochester Train Station Nears Grand Opening

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Rochester's new train station is nearing its grand opening.

Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo is planning to make an announcement at the station Friday. Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter's office sent an email saying the grand opening is being announced.

Work has been taking place for several years on the new $30 million hub for Amtrak and CSX trains.

The previous Rochester station was built in 1978.
