A Rome man has been arrested after police responded to a disturbance call at Stoney Brook Mobile Terrace.

Police say a 911 call was made saying that James Barton, 29, was in the park violating an order of protection against the caller and their residence.

Police say when they arrived Barton got out of his car with a knife and yelled at officers to shoot him several times.

He was eventually arrested without incident and charged with Felony menacing a police officer and criminal contempt for violating a family court protection order.

Barton was sent to the Oneida County jail on $20,000 bail.
