Rome Lab And Latham Armory Selected For Cyber Protection Team

After a year-long push by federal lawmakers, the National Guard has chosen the Latham Armory in the Capital region as the Mission Command Center for a Cyber Protection Team for New York and New Jersey.

In addition, the Joint Reserve Intelligence Center at Rome Lab has been designated to spupport cyber protection missions.

Congressman Richard Hanna says it's tremendous news for the state, as well as upstate New York's defense installations.  Hanna says says the Cyber Protection Team will offer new and exciting opportunities for Rome Lab.

The team is expected to bring new cyber jobs to both New York and New Jersey and help boost the region's economy.
