Payless ShoeSource may be shuttering it's location in Sangertown Square, along with another 400-plus locations across the country, pending approval from a federal bankruptcy court judge, according to reports.

In April, the shoe retailer filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and announced plans to close approximately 400 stores nationwide, including some locations in the Syracuse area. Now, Payless is asking permission to close another 400-plus stores, including the one inside Sangertown Square (Full list of new proposed closings here).

That would bring the total list of closures to roughly 800.

The Payless location just down the road on Commercial Drive in Consumer Square, New Hartford is not on either of the closing lists.
