Scheidelman Pleads Guilty To Misdemeanor Charge

Former Trenton Town Supervisor Mark Scheidelman whose re-trial was supposed to take place this month, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Scheidelman was sentenced to three years probation in Oneida County Court today.

A jury found Scheidelman guilty in 2013 of sexually abusing a 10-year old boy.  But an Appellate Court judge ruled Scheidelman didn't get a fair trial, citing prosecutorial misconduct.

Scheidelman had served nearly two years in prison before being granted a new trial.
