The sexual abuse case against Trenton Town Supervisor Mark Schiedelman will go to trial.

Scheidelman was in Oneida County Court today, where he rejected a plea offer from the District Attorney's Office.

Scheidelman's attorney George Aney says to have accepted any offer may have been an indication that there was just a little bit of guilt someplace.

He says there is none and this is a case where the defendant is 100% innocent.

Aney would not reveal terms of the plea offer.

Scheidelman, who is facing one count of first-degree sexual abuse, will be back in court on April 22nd for pre-trial motions.

His trial is set to begin on May 20th.
