Seized Horse Enjoying Greener Pastures

Georgetown, NY (WIBX) - A horse is enjoying greener pastures after being taken from a Madison County woman.

Constance McGee of Georgetown allegedly ignored previous warnings to take better care of the gelding, thought to be between twenty-five and thirty years old.

The emaciated horse, nicknamed "Dusty," was taken to a rehabilitation facility that is not being disclosed in order to ensure the horse's safety.

McGee's arrest marks the first for the newly-created animal cruelty investigation program for the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
