Sheriff’s Office Hosts Coffee With A Cop Day Event

Today is National Coffee with a Cop Day.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office held a Community Coffee event at Panera Bread on Commercial Drive in New Hartford this morning.

Sheriff Rob Maciol says the Sheriff's Office hosts Community Coffee events on a regular basis.

Maciol says it's proven to be an effective community tool, giving the Sheriff's Office a chance to interact with the public with no agendas.

He says community coffee events are also opportunities to build relationships in order to better problem solve with the people in the community.

The Utica Police Department also hosted a Coffee with a Cop Day event at the Marr-Log Restaurant on Culver Avenue.
