State Police Investigating Herkimer County Motorcycle Crash

State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash in Herkimer County.

Officials say, 71-year-old Bernard Ganzmann of Ilion was riding the motorcycle south on State Route 51 when he failed to negotiate a curve, struck a guard rail and was thrown from his motorcycle.

He was transported by Mercy Flight to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for internal injuries. He's listed in serious condition.
