The Buffalo Bills are taking on the New York Jets on Monday night, and when they do, they'll face a brand new head coach.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodger's who hadn't played in 13 months looked pretty good to me on Monday.

The New York Jets are currently 4-3 overall and that is amazing in and of itself with Zach Wilson as their quarterback.

The first week of the "Aaron Rodgers New York Jets" has gone better than anyone, even owner Woody Johnson, could have ever imagined. But, is this just the honeymoon period or is Rodgers seizing the opportunity to expand his brand in the advertising capital of the world with a team with a more talented roster than he had in Green Bay? Let's remember that no games have been played yet.

Aaron Rodgers has some history to put in the past for Gang Green fans. It was January 12, 1969 when New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath disappeared into the locker-room waving his one index finger after defeating the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III, 16-7.

The New York Jets maintain the longest absence from post season in the NFL. However, at the start of the season, no one realistically thought that the Gang Green would go from a 4-win team in 2021 to a playoff franchise in '22. Expectations were: anything under 7-wins this year would be a failure for general manager, Joe Douglas and head coach, Robert Saleh. Wins weren't the area of failure this year. The quarterback position in its entirety takes that award. Someone in the Jets organization is to blame.

Saleh has 14 losses in his first 18 games as a head coach, and there is no end in sight. It’s year two, and there needs to be more improvement.

The Robert Saleh era, as head coach of one of the most inept sports franchises in history, the New York Jets, started with the motto, "All gas, no brakes." OK, pouring more "gas" on the Adam Gase (former Jets coach) created dumpster fire wasn't the worst thing. But, Saleh seems to need the "brakes" to stop his terrible team from losing. Now the fiery coach of Gang Green is "Taking Receipts" on the vocal fans and media. Uh-oh.

There likely will be a moment Sunday when Robert Saleh looks up into the stands at MetLife Stadium, reminded of how many lives were instantly changed 21 years ago.

By answering who is the best of the worst, you are also answering who is the worst of the worst. The Buffalo Bills without question are the best football team in New York. Many will argue that they are the only football team in New York but that is a discussion for another day. The New York Giants and the New York Jets go into 2023 with major question-marks surrounding their organizations. Forget the excuses, which team will have the most wins at the end of the season?
