Thanksgiving Boxes Distributed To Veterans And Their Families

Local veterans and their families will be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, thanks to the Central New York Veterans Outreach Center in Utica.

The center is handing out "Thanksgiving meals in a box" today.

Jennifer Martin, Program Director at the Veteran's Outreach Center says they'll be giving out about 200 Thanksgiving boxes with turkey and all the fixings.  Martin says most of the items were donated by the community.

A donation of $3,400 was given to the center by Colozzi's Party Card Shop today.  The money was raised during an in-store promotion.
