Old Bridge, NY (WIBX) - Three people are being confirmed dead, including the gunman, in a shooting at the Pathmark Super Center in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

People believe that the gunman was a disgruntled worker who opened fire on two others before killing himself.

The shooting took place in the early morning hours, around 4:00am, this morning at the store located about twenty-five miles outside of Manhattan.  Police say that about sixteen shots were fired, none by police.  An AK-47 with extra ammunition and a handgun were found at the scene.

In a statement on the company's Facebook page, Pathmark said, "We are terribly saddened by the incident at our Old Bridge Pathmark store this morning. We express our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and our appreciation to local law enforcement. Our main concern is the safety of our associates and customers. We continue to work with local authorities during the investigation."

It was just one week ago that a similar shooting took place in Manhattan, when a disgruntled worker killed a former employee outside of the Empire State Building.
