Tiger Woods Misses Cut, This Time With EA Sports
Consider it a sign of the times...an ongoing changing of the guard in the golf world.
For the first time since the turn of the century, EA Sports' annual PGA Tour Golf video game has a new face on its cover.
EA's PGA Tour game has been around for more than 25 years, and it's been Tiger Woods' name in the title and on the cover since 1999. But, on the game's latest edition - released earlier this month - the tee box belongs to Rory McIlory.
And, rightfully so. Rory is the world's No.1 ranked golfer and currently the sport's biggest draw. Not sure if Rory's run on the cover will last as long as Tiger's, though, considering the world's No.2 - Jordan Spieth - has won two majors already this year and is quickly becoming a household name.
