Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of Crack Cocaine
Utica, NY (WIBX) - A traffic stop near Goodrich Avenue and York Street landed a man in jail. Utica police arrested 36-year-old Daniel Gomolka after he allegedly went through a red light going about 50 miles an hour. Officials say Gomolka, who is currently on Oneida County Probation, had crack cocaine in the car and was operating the vehicle without a New York State drivers license. His status to drive was suspended.
Gomolka is facing the following charges:
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree
- No driver's license
- Aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree
- Passed red traffic light
- Speeding in a posted zone
