Village police say 26-year-old Javari Brown of Dupont, Pennsylvania, had conversed with the man who was robbed using the app.

The robbery is said to have occurred Monday night at the Squires Avenue residence of 25-year-old Anthony Morse.

Authorities say Morse displayed what appeared to be a firearm. Some cash was taken from the victim, who was not injured in the robbery.

Detectives say Brown and Morse each have been charged with first-degree robbery. They were sent to Broome County Jail after they were arraigned.

Endicott police searched Morse's residence Friday and found a BB gun which matched the description of the weapon believed used in the crime.

Detectives say more arrests are possible in connection with the investigation. People with information about the incident may contact Endicott police at 607.785.3341.
