Two Facing Drug Charge Following Traffic Stop In Schuyler

State Police arrested two people following a traffic stop on Route 5 in Schuyler.

Officials say, Troopers stopped a 2013 Hyundai on Route 5 Monday and found the operator, 38-year-old Tiffany McConn of Sauquoit, to be in possession of a clear plastic bag containing 3.5 grams of cocaine.

Authorities also say, a passenger in the vehicle, 37-year-old Andrew Thornton of Utica, was found to be in possession of a scale containing cocaine residue.

Both individuals are facing a charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and will appear in Town of Schuyler court at a later date.
