UPD Arrest Two Men Allegedly In The Process Of Burglarizing Home

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two men are facing burglary charges for attempting to rob a home on George Place yesterday afternoon. That's according to Utica Police who say, 24-year-old Jonathan Lasanta of Massachusetts, and 43-year-old Hector Torres of Utica, backed in a white van to the residence, and were in the process of robbing the place when a neighbor alerted police.

The two men fled through the yard when police arrived on the scene, but were later apprehended on South Street. Officials recovered copper pipes, hot water tanks and other household items that were allegedly stolen from the home. Lasanta and Torres are both charged with Petit Larceny and 2nd Degree Burglary.
