Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica woman is facing several charges for allegedly attacking another woman with a knife. According to Utica Police, 35-year-old Felicia West of Seymour Avenue, chased the victim, and after catching up to her, attempted to stab her in the face. The victim told police that she crossed her arm to protect her face and was stabbed in the arm. Officials say West ran away after a good Samaritan intervened. According to the report, the victim told police that West verbally threatened to stab her before chasing her down the street and carrying out the knife attack.

The suspect is charged with the following:

  • Assault in the 3rd degree
  • Menacing in the 2nd degree
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
