Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica police say they arrested a man after he allegedly broke into his neighbors home, punctured holes in the walls and making off with the copper pipes and wiring. According to the report, the home owner arrived to find the holes in his walls that revealed the missing items. After an investigation, police charged 30-year-old Allen Dole of Jefferson Avenue with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor, and 2nd Degree Burglary, which is a Class C Felony. They say he robbed a home on the same street he resides on.

Public Information Officer, Sergeant Steve Hauck said, "Often times in these types of crimes, the thieves sell copper pipes to recyling centers for cash." Dole will face the charges in Utica City Court at a later date.
