It's not anything like Bullfighting or Running with the Bulls; however, local officials are saying beware- the roaming bull seen in Rome, New Hartford and Utica could be dangerous.

WIBX's First News with Keeler spoke with Judy Cusworth from the Woodhaven Wildlife Center who is working with local police to capture and farm out the rogue steer.

"i'm the one tracking this bull for police," said Cusworth.  She said she will try to spot the bull and then reach out to the Utica Zoo in an effort to have one of their trained animal caretakers come in and tranquilize the animal.

The bull, named Norm by Facebook users and local authorities, is estimated to be about 1500 pounds and could be dangerous.  It's been on the loose in the area since the beginning of the summer.  Cusworth said her goal is the capture the farm animal alive.

"I have two farmers who are willing to take this bull if we can find it and capture it alive," she said.

Kim Strong of Lainey's Army (an animal rights advocate) also weighed in on the loose bull.
