Utica, NY (WIBX) -  After being delayed for several weeks, Utica Police say the 911 "switch over" is set to take place midday Tuesday.

All 911 calls made from within the City of Utica, either by landline or mobile phone, will be answered and dispatched through the Oneida County 911 Center on Judd Road in Oriskany.

An officer from the Utica Police Department will be on hand in the 911 center to assist the 911 operators and to help assure a smooth transition.
