Utica College Athletes Excel In The Classroom

Utica College wrapped up its most successful year of athletics on the field by setting another school record -- this time in the classroom.

UC officials say an athletic department-best 17 teams finished the Spring semester with a grade point average of 3.0 or better and the department GPA was 3.11.

11 students athletes scored a perfect 4.0 GPA and 57 earned Empire 8 Conference Presidents' list honors for outstanding performance in the classroom.
