Utica College Names Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Utica College has announced the class of 2014 Valedictorian and Salutatorian.

Kristina Shikula of Utica earned the Valedictorian honor with a 4.0 GPA in biology and pre-med studies and will attend either the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry or SUNY Upstate Medical University in the fall.

Joshua Haar was named Salutatorian after finishing his Bachelor's degree in accounting with a 4.0 GPA as well.

Haar, who is from West Edmeston, New York, has been accepted to Syracuse University and Albany Law School and is waiting for a reply from his application to Cornell.

Utica College's undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be held Sunday, May 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
