A Utica College student has been awarded a $2,000 scholarship by the Rotary Club of Utica and the Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation.

The scholarship was presented to Devin Bryant of Rome by Sheriff Rob Maciol, Chief Deputy Jon Owens and Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation Member Rob Swenszkowski

As part of the scholarship Bryant will participate in an internship through the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.  During his internship he'll work with Sheriff's Road Patrol, Civil and Corrections Divisions, as well as the Mohawk Valley Police Academy.

Bryant is a Junior at Utica College studying Criminal Justice.  He's also a member of the UC footbal team.
