A pedestrian who was struck by car over the weekend is recovering after suffering minor injuries.

It happened late Saturday afternoon - at approximately 5:00 p.m. - on the 1600 block of York Street. The driver was an elderly, white female driving a silver or gray colored sedan who left the scene before police were called, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries and released. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call Utica Police at 315-223-3461.
