The City of Utica has released its green waste pickup schedule for the fall.

Starting this Sunday through December 3rd, residents can place non-containerized green waste at the curb for pickup. After December 3rd, all green waste must be placed in containers.

DPW Commissioner Dave Short say Items like shrubs, stumps, logs and trees will not be picked up.  Allowable bulk green waste items include grass clippings, leaves, weeds, flowers and bundled limbs and branches no longer than 4’ and under 50 lbs.

Short says If residents have large green waste items, they can call the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority at 731-0238 to schedule a pickup (a nominal fee is charged for this service).

More information on the green waste pickup schedule and guidelines are posted on the city's website.
