The New York Gaming Association has released its 2014 annual report highlighting the statewide and local impact of the gaming industry.

Since 2004, the industry has grown to have a statewide economic impact of $3 billion  and supports the jobs of 30,000 New Yorkers, including 6,000 who are employed by NYGA members.  In 2014, NYGA members generated gross gaming revenue of $1.9 billion.

Vernon Downs -- one of nine racetrack casinos in the state -- directly employs 492 local residents and had a total economic impact of $46.2 million dollars in 2014.

Vernon Downs also generated $14.5 million for schools last year.
