Vernon Man Uses Unsecured WiFi To Access Child Porn

A Vernon man is under arrest on Child Pornography charges.

State Police say, 36-year-old Chad Srogi is accused of using an unsecured residential WiFi access point to upload and download images and video on his cell phone and laptop consistent with child pornography.

The investigation into this incident was conducted by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Srogi was arrested and transported to Oneida County Jail. He's facing a Felony charge of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
